Care & Use

Wondering about the best ways to cook with, clean & care for GRIZZLY Cookware? We’ve got you covered.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Basics...

GRIZZLY Cast Iron - Our coated cast iron is easy to clean, resistant to rust, and never needs to be seasoned.

ALL Cast Iron - All cast iron (coated or not) is prone to cracking if it's cooled too quickly. Do not place your hot GRIZZLY directly on cold surfaces or under cold water and allow it to cool down prior to cleaning.
GIVE THE BEAR A BATH

Prep Step

Once you’ve unboxed your new GRIZZLY Cast Iron Cookware, we recommend giving it a quick wash with soap & warm water. Then, it’s ready for your first adventure in cooking. It’s that easy because GRIZZLY Cookware never needs to be seasoned and it’s always resistant to rust. Let the swooning continue...
LET'S HEAT THINGS UP

Cooking

As versatile as it is tough, you can expect superior performance from campfire to cooktop with GRIZZLY Cast Iron Cookware. We recommend it for use with gas, electric and induction cooktops as well as the oven, grill and the hot coals or open flame of a campfire.

Clean It Up

Soap and sponges are safe to use with GRIZZLY. These bears are frequent bathers though, so we recommend hand-washing your GRIZZLY Cookware after each adventure in cooking.

Meals that leave their mark - Some foods with higher levels of nitrates (e.g. bacon, pork, root vegetables) can result in stains on the cooking surface but they do NOT affect the cooking performance. Scrubbing with a sponge, soap and hot water typically gets the job done but for particularly stubborn messes and surface stains, try a bottle of Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser and an ultra-fine Scotch Brite pad.
As a reminder, DO NOT USE BLEACH OR BLEACH PRODUCTS TO CLEAN.
